I received a $1,000 scholarship from you 2 years ago and was able to earn my Certified Flight Instructor – Glider rating with it. I was looking to continue my aviation education by earning my Instrument rating for airplanes.
On a side note: I promised I would give members of the family a glider ride. I would like to remind you the offer still stands if you are ever interested. I also offered to instruct any future Alex Gilmer scholarship recipients in gliders for no instructional cost.
