It is with much thanks, on Alex Gilmer’s birthday (October 9th), that the Gilmer’s family decides to close the scholarship after over a decade long run helping future pilots.
Alex would have been 38 years old on October 9th, 2022.
We have seen this scholarship program in Alex’s name change the lives of 55 future pilots. It has far surpassed our dreams for the program. We have posted many success stories under our Media tab, please read some, the scholarship recipients’ stories continue to inspire us to this day. Effective immediately, we will no longer be accepting any more donations.
This scholarship would not be possible without all of the generous donations we received over the last few years. To all the donors, contributors, and organizations that have conducted business with the scholarship over the last 12 years, we thank you for all of your support in Alex’s Memory. With your help, we have been able to give out over $65,000 in scholarships. For this, we cannot thank you enough. We are deeply grateful.
With love and appreciation for all of your support over the years..
Sincerely,
Todd and Mary Gilmer, Gianna Skates, Adam (Krissy) Gilmer, Geoff Gilmer & Gloria Gilmer
